Mountains form a surreal backdrop for the city. The Fraser River is also located due South of Vancouver. People can embark on a variety of excursions while staying in Vancouver. Tourist will have the opportunity to go hiking, skiing, swimming and even shopping while staying in this here.
Iqaluit, Nunavut
The city of Iqaluit is located on Baffin Island in Northern Canada between the Davis Strait and the Hudson strait. In the spring time tourists can participate in many of the local ice games and take boat tours. Iqaluit means “ the place of many fish”.
Whitehorse, Yukon Territory
The city of Whitehorse is located upon the banks of the Yukon River and is nestled between a barrier mountains. Whitehorse was a major location for the gold rush in the 1800s, since it is positioned near the Yukon River. People can have the pleasure of participating in the local festivals, hunting, canoeing and taking nature hikes.

Hunting is a common practice amongst citizens for food. Some of the cultures, such as the Aboriginals and Germans, sing songs to remember their heritage.
Travel Tips:
1. Bring extremely warm clothing for cold weather.
2. If you wish to bring over a rifle for hunting purposes, you must fill out a Non-Resident Declaration form. Other firearms such as semiautomatic weapons may be brought into Canada under certain circumstances but they require an Authorization to Transport (ATT) permit.
3. If you wish to carry pepper spray to defend yourself in any way, you as a civilian can only carry animal mace, but it has the same effect on humans.
4. Find out about wildlife in the area you are visiting and safety policies concerning the wildlife.
5. Respect the many different cultures that live here.
